GEM$ is Iowa's Grant Enterprise Management System. This site is designed to provide information centered around finding and applying for grants. Iowa also maintains a database of competitive grant applications.
The GEM$ database is designed to implement the GEM$ Competitive Grants Review Process, as defined in Iowa Administrative Rules. The review process begins when a potential grant is identified, continues through the submission of the application and follows up with the final disposition of the application. A flowchart and explanation of the flowchart are provided to explain the process in more detail.
Database Accessibility - The public can access the front page of the database which includes a listing of all competitive grants state agencies are applying for as well as contact information for each grant. Full access is only available to Iowa state agency personnel with special secured access.
